My name is Alexis Jacobson
Art has always been the fuel that ignites my creativity and allows me to express myself. From an early age, I discovered that I had a deep connection to the world of colors and their transformative power. Each hue and shade carries its own essence and the ability to evoke emotions, making it the perfect medium for self-expression, I have taken the time to reach out to different companies like Style 8 Design to showcase my work.
About Me.
My ultimate goal as an artist is to create pieces that become an integral part of people's homes. I believe that art has the remarkable ability to enhance the ambiance and reflect the personality of a space. With this in mind, I strive to create unique and captivating artworks that resonate with individuals on a personal level. Whether it's a captivating abstract painting or a vibrant mixed-media piece, I immerse myself in the creative process and pour my heart and soul into every stroke. The school's inclusive and supportive environment allowed me to explore my artistic abilities, enabling me to dedicate my free time to honing my skills and expanding my creative horizons.

In the field of pottery, the school provided me with access to a fully equipped studio and knowledgeable instructors who guided me through the process. This environment fostered a sense of experimentation and innovation, encouraging me to think outside the box and push the boundaries of traditional techniques. Through countless hours spent on the pottery wheel, I was able to develop my skills in shaping clay, creating intricate designs, and glazing my creations. The art teachers at Spanaway Lake High School continually encouraged me to take risks and explore new possibilities, which significantly contributed to my growth as a potter.
Similarly, the school's art department offered me the opportunity to explore painting as another avenue for creative expression. With access to a well-stocked supply room and a variety of painting mediums, I was able to experiment with different techniques and styles. The open-mindedness and encouragement from my art instructors helped me to find my own unique voice in painting, allowing me to explore various subjects, from landscapes to abstract art. The art department at Spanaway Lake High School provided me with the necessary guidance and resources to flourish as a painter and embrace my creativity fully.

Olympic College
Obtaining a Associate of Art Degree
Olympic College has been pivotal in my journey to earn an Associate of Arts degree, fueling my passion for creating home artwork. The Painting 1 course, in particular, deepened my understanding of color theory, including the interaction of primary, secondary, and tertiary colors. I learned how colors can convey emotions and atmosphere, using tones and hues to add depth and realism to my paintings.
Beyond art, my proficiency in English was enhanced through various courses, allowing me to articulate my artistic vision and connect with audiences and clients. Through this transformative educational experience, I've developed the ability to create resonant artwork, using color and communication to enrich people’s living spaces and my growth as an artist.
The school fostered a sense of community and collaboration among fellow artists, offering spaces for art exhibitions and opportunities to showcase our work. These collective events not only allowed me to gain valuable feedback on my artwork but also provided me with inspiration from observing the creativity of my peers. By engaging in such creative discourse with both peers and mentors, my understanding of different artistic perspectives expanded, further fueling my creativity.

Digital Art
I really enjoy expressing different ideas through digital art, it lets me have other medias at my convenience and it helps me become more versatile in making new ideas stand out from one another.
Photography
Photography is the essence of capturing a moment in time. Landscape, portraits, and micro photography is something I personally enjoy getting a shot of.
Oil/Acrylic Paintings
Oil Paintings have so much texture, its as almost as if they have a sense of life. Blending colors with paint brushes is therapeutic and calming.
